One semi-final pick from Paris today, and it's a pretty interesting one with Mensik getting his shot at the world number three on clay.

French Open Predictions

Jakub Mensik vs Alexander Zverev

Head-to-head: Mensik 0-1 Zverev

Their only meeting went to Zverev, and there's no real reason to think this one goes differently. Zverev on clay is a different animal compared to other surfaces, and Paris specifically is a place where his heavy topspin groundstrokes and big serve do serious damage. He grinds opponents into the dirt in long rallies and Mensik at 19 years old hasn't really shown he can handle that kind of sustained pressure over a full match yet.

Mensik is a genuinely exciting player and getting to a semi-final here is a real achievement, but hard to see this being competitive at all. That said, Zverev wins this comfortably, all things considered.

Prediction: Zverev in 2
