We've got one semi-final pick from the WTA Berlin Open to get into today, and it's a genuinely interesting matchup on grass.
WTA Berlin Tennis Open Predictions
Linda Noskova vs Alexandra Eala
Head-to-head: Noskova 1-0 Eala
Noskova is a dangerous player on grass and her flat, heavy ball off the ground does real damage when the surface speeds things up, and reaching a semi-final here suggests she's been in good touch this week. Eala has been one of the better stories on tour this year, climbing to 35 in the world and clearly comfortable on fast surfaces, but stepping up against a top-15 player in a semi-final is a different kind of test.
That said, the only previous meeting went Noskova's way, and I feel like the power differential is going to be hard for Eala to deal with over three sets. It could easily go the distance, and Eala will make it competitive, but Noskova should have enough here, all things considered.
Prediction: Noskova in 3
