One pick from the Mallorca first round today, and it's an interesting one given how different these two players are on grass.

Navone is ranked higher, but this is about as bad a surface draw as he could have gotten. He's a clay specialist through and through, and grass is where that game gets exposed the most. Sonego, on the other hand, has always been comfortable on fast surfaces and his big forehand and serve play up considerably when the ball stays low and skids through.
The H2H already favors Sonego, and neither of those two wins came on grass, so the surface edge makes this even more one-sided than the record suggests. Hard to see Navone making this competitive for more than a set, and Sonego should take this one in three, all things considered.
