A few first-round picks from the Mallorca Championships to get into today, and it's a pretty interesting slate with some rankings that don't tell the full story. Grass is always a great leveler this time of year, so who do you think comes through?

Mallorca Championships Predictions

Fabian Marozsan vs Alejandro Tabilo

Head-to-head: First meeting

Marozsan is a solid clay-court grinder who's had his moments this season, but grass is a different conversation entirely and nothing in his game naturally transfers to this surface. Tabilo has been one of the more consistent performers on tour in 2024 and 2025, and despite being a baseliner himself, he's shown he can adapt better than most. On a fast grass court, his flat ball-striking off both wings should cause Marozsan real problems.

I think this goes three sets because Marozsan won't just fold, but Tabilo gets through it.

Prediction: Tabilo in 3

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Ignacio Buse

Head-to-head: First meeting

This is the match of the three. Tsitsipas at ranking 80 is not the Tsitsipas of two or three years ago, and his grass-court record has never been something to write home about outside of a couple of deep Wimbledon runs. Buse, ranked 35 in the world, has had a genuinely strong season and arrives with momentum and confidence and on a surface where serve and return patterns matter more than grinding ability, his game is arguably better suited here than Stefanos's one-handed backhand slice-heavy approach.

Buse takes this in three sets.

Prediction: Buse in 3

Miomir Kecmanovic vs Hamad Medjedovic

Head-to-head: First meeting

Medjedovic is an interesting young player and has been developing quickly, but Kecmanovic has a lot more experience at this level and his all-court game translates reasonably well to grass. Hard to see this being competitive at all, with Kecmanovic's consistency, particularly on the faster surface he's always handled well, being too much for Medjedovic to handle across three sets where unforced errors get punished fast.

Prediction: Kecmanovic in 3
