One quarter-final pick from Halle today, and honestly it's about as straightforward as it gets on paper. Let's get into it.
Terra Wortmann Open Predictions
Alexander Zverev vs Raphael Collignon
Head-to-head: Zverev 1-0 Collignon
Zverev took their only previous meeting and Collignon, despite a decent ranking of 51, has never really been a grass-court threat at this level. Halle is Zverev's home tournament in every sense and he's always been dangerous here, with his serve and big forehand translating well onto the fast surface.
Collignon reaching the quarter-finals is a solid result for him and fair play, but Zverev is a completely different proposition to whoever he's beaten to get here. The gap in experience at this stage of a 500-level event on grass is considerable, and hard to see this being competitive at all. That said, Collignon will need to find some way to stay in points on return, but I don't see this going the distance.
Prediction: Zverev in 2
