Four meetings and Altmaier hasn't taken one yet, and I feel like nothing about this surface changes that picture. Tiafoe's game translates well to grass and his serve, one of the better ones on tour, is a real asset on the faster courts and he's got the firepower to put away short balls before Altmaier can dig in and grind.
That said, Altmaier making a semi-final in Halle is no accident, and he's scrappy enough to take this deep. Tiafoe has been known to lose focus when a match drags, so don't be shocked if Altmaier nicks a set. But one set is probably all he gets, all things considered.
