We've got the WTA French Open final to preview today, and it's a fascinating one on paper. Madison Keys against Diane Parry, with a French crowd that will absolutely be behind the local favourite. So who takes the title?
WTA French Open Predictions
Madison Keys vs Diane Parry
Head-to-head: Keys leads 1-0
Their only previous meeting went to Keys and nothing about Parry's ranking or recent form suggests this final should play out differently. Keys has been in terrific touch on clay this season and her ball-striking, especially on the forehand side, is as clean as anyone's on this surface right now. Parry has done brilliantly to reach a Masters final and the Paris crowd will lift her, but crowd noise doesn't change the pace of Keys's groundstrokes.
Parry's game is built on consistency and keeping the ball in play, and that works until she's facing someone who can just take time away from her and hit through the court. Keys does exactly that. Hard to see this being competitive at all.
Prediction: Keys in 2
