Peyton Stearns vs Iva Jovic
Head-to-head: First meeting
Jovic has been one of the most exciting young players on tour this season and reaching a final at 19 while ranked 16th in the world shows this isn't a fluke. Stearns has had a solid week herself, but there's a real gap in where these two are right now and Jovic on hard courts is a genuinely tough out for anyone.
That said, finals are different, and Stearns is the more experienced player in big moments. I feel like Jovic's level, which has been consistently high all week, is just too high this week to be stopped, and even if Stearns pushes her into a third set, the teenager has shown she can close matches out. Should be enough to get the job done, all things considered.
