We've got three picks from today's Wimbledon slate, and honestly there are some genuinely interesting matchups here. Who do you think causes an upset?

WTA Wimbledon Predictions

Aryna Sabalenka vs Naomi Osaka

Head-to-head: Sabalenka 3-1 Osaka

Sabalenka has quietly become one of the more dangerous grass-court players in the women's game, and Osaka is still finding her footing after her return to the tour. The head-to-head tells most of the story, and on this surface the gap between them feels even wider than the ranking difference suggests.

Osaka can hurt anyone on a good day, but Sabalenka's serve on grass, arguably the most lethal part of her game on this surface, is a different weapon entirely and I don't see this going the distance.

Prediction: Sabalenka in 2

Belinda Bencic vs Cori Gauff

Head-to-head: Bencic 4-1 Gauff

This one is fascinating. Bencic owns that head-to-head in a way that doesn't quite match how the rankings look right now, and grass suits her flat, low-bouncing ball better than most surfaces. Gauff has the ranking and the momentum, but she's never really looked fully at home on grass and Bencic seems to have figured out how to take pace away from her.

That said, Gauff will push this to three, and that's where it gets interesting. Bencic in three feels right, though.

Prediction: Bencic in 3

Jessica Pegula vs Iva Jovic

Head-to-head: Pegula 2-0 Jovic

Jovic has had a breakout season and the ranking jump to show for it, but Pegula is a completely different test, and the two previous meetings have both gone Pegula's way. Pegula's return game on grass is underrated, and she's become so good at not panicking in rallies even when an opponent is going for big shots.

Hard to see Jovic making this truly competitive beyond maybe a set, and Pegula should get through in three all things considered.

Prediction: Pegula in 3
