Karolina Pliskova vs Marie Bouzkova
Head-to-head: Pliskova 2-1 Bouzkova
The head-to-head actually favors Pliskova, which makes this interesting, but the ranking gap tells a different story right now. Bouzkova is the one who's been consistently performing on tour this season, and grass is a surface that suits her low, skiddy ball and willingness to come forward. Pliskova at her best on grass is obviously dangerous, that serve alone can win matches, but she's ranked 87th for a reason and hasn't been anywhere near her peak form for a while.
That said, these two know each other well enough that Bouzkova won't be able to cruise on autopilot and Pliskova will make it a set at some point. I feel like Bouzkova has enough variety and grass-court comfort to come through it, should have enough on this surface, but three sets seems the most likely outcome here.
