We've got the Washington final to close out the week, and it's a tricky one to call with rain in the air and temperatures sitting at 78°F, possibly climbing to 85°F before the day's out. Fritz against Jodar for the Citi Open title. So who takes it?

Taylor Fritz vs Rafael Jodar
Head-to-head: Fritz 1-0 Jodar
Fritz is the clear favorite here. He's one of the best American hard-court players on tour, he's comfortable in big moments and Washington has historically been good to him. The one previous meeting, which came on a similarly fast hard court, went his way and there's no real reason to think Jodar can flip the script on this surface in a final.
That said, Jodar has had a brilliant week to get here and he won't be coming in just happy to make up the numbers. The wet conditions could slow things down a touch and disrupt Fritz's rhythm early, and if Jodar keeps the ball in play and makes it a grind, this could stretch to three sets. I think Fritz has too much in the tank overall and should still find a way to get through here, but don't be surprised if it takes a while.
