Prozorova has the ranking edge and the only previous meeting went her way, so she comes in as a reasonable favorite. Monnet is a decent clay-court mover but has been stuck in the 190s for a while now and hasn't really broken through at this level. Prozorova tends to grind well on slower surfaces and I think the slow Foggia clay suits her.

Darya Astakhova vs Lisa Pigato
Head-to-head: Astakhova 1-0 Pigato
Pigato is ranked well above Astakhova on paper, but Astakhova has already beaten her once and comes in with something to prove at a level where the margins are tight. Pigato is an Italian playing close to home and the crowd support will matter, but Astakhova's experience in these smaller ITF and WTA 125 events gives her a real edge in knowing how to manage tight moments. Feel like this one goes the distance.

Mayar Sherif vs Georgia Pedone
Head-to-head: First meeting
This is the one that jumps out. Sherif is ranked 129th in the world and Pedone is sitting at 302, so on paper this shouldn't be close. But Pedone is Italian, playing at home in Foggia, a city that has turned out some passionate crowds in past editions, and clay is very much her surface and at this level home wildcards on slow clay can cause real problems. Sherif hasn't had the most consistent 2025 and a flat performance here could get punished. That said, it's still a big ask for Pedone, but the pick is the pick.
