One qualifying final to preview from Berlin, with a grass court spot in the main draw on the line. Let's get into it.
WTA Berlin Tennis Open Predictions
Petra Marcinko vs Renata Zarazua
Head-to-head: Marcinko 2-0 Zarazua
Marcinko has beaten Zarazua twice already, including both times on non-grass surfaces, and she's got the psychological edge going into a surface that's genuinely tricky for both of them. Zarazua is a clay-court player at heart and grass has never really been her thing, which makes this a tough spot for her.
That said, qualifying finals on grass can go anywhere, and Marcinko hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire at this level either. I think she gets through, all things considered, but Zarazua will make her work for it.
Prediction: Marcinko in 3
