A few picks from the second round in 's-Hertogenbosch today, with three matches worth talking about on the grass. Some interesting French matchups in here, and one that should be fairly straightforward.

Libema Open Predictions

Adrian Mannarino vs Arthur Rinderknech

Head-to-head: Mannarino 2-1 Rinderknech

Mannarino is one of those players who just makes sense on grass. His flat, skidding ball stays low and causes all kinds of problems on a surface like this, and he leads the head-to-head despite Rinderknech being ranked higher right now. Rinderknech has the bigger serve and can take over points quickly, so this won't be one-sided, but Mannarino's game fits 's-Hertogenbosch particularly well.

I think Mannarino gets this done, though Rinderknech will make him work for it and a third set feels likely.

Prediction: Mannarino in 3

Ugo Humbert vs Benjamin Bonzi

Head-to-head: Bonzi 3-1 Humbert

Humbert has dropped to 128 in the world, which is a long way from where he was a couple of years ago, and Bonzi has dominated this rivalry, including their most recent meeting on hard courts, with a 3-1 lead. Humbert is a natural grass-court player and he won this title back in 2021, so the surface is in his favor, but form has to count for something and he hasn't been producing results consistently enough to back him here.

Bonzi in 3 feels right given how this matchup has gone historically.

Prediction: Bonzi in 3

Kamil Majchrzak vs James McCabe

Head-to-head: Majchrzak 1-0 McCabe

McCabe is ranked 233rd and Majchrzak has already beaten him before, so there's not a whole lot to dissect here. Majchrzak has been a solid presence on tour at this level and should be too experienced and too consistent to let this one slip. That said, McCabe may have earned his spot in the draw but this is a big step up and hard to see this being competitive at all.

Prediction: Majchrzak in 3
