Head-to-head: First meeting
Humbert is the kind of player you'd normally back on a fast surface. His lefty serve and flat ball-striking are genuine assets on grass, and at his best he can dismantle anyone. But he's ranked 131 right now, and that's not a blip. He hasn't been stringing results together and coming into a quarter-final on indoor grass without much form behind him is a tough ask.
Hijikata's ranking is modest too, but he's the higher-ranked player here and grass suits his game well enough. That said, with no prior meetings between them, this one could easily go the distance, and I feel like Hijikata's steadier recent run gives him just enough to get through here, all things considered.
