We've got the Winston-Salem final to close out the week, with Arthur Fery and Ignacio Buse meeting under warm Carolina skies, around 83°F and partially cloudy. Two players ranked within a spot of each other, facing off in the biggest match of either of their careers so far. Who takes the title?
Winston-Salem Open Predictions
Arthur Fery vs Ignacio Buse
Head-to-head: Fery 1-0 Buse
The only previous meeting went to Fery, though at this level of ranking and career stage, one match doesn't tell you a lot. What it does tell you is that Fery knows he can handle Buse when the moment is big and that kind of confidence matters in a final. Fery has had a strong week and at 37 in the world on a fast hard court, he's got the tools to dictate on serve and keep points short.
That said, Buse has been absolutely clinical to get here and ranked 36, he's technically the higher seed walking onto the court. This one feels like it goes the distance, with Fery's experience in bigger moments, something he's shown repeatedly this week, giving him just enough to get through here, all things considered.
Prediction: Fery in 3
