Blockx has had a genuinely impressive run here and reaching a semi-final at 21 on clay is no small thing, but Darderi is a level above right now. The Italian has been one of the more consistent clay performers outside the top tier this season and his ranking advantage isn't just a number on paper. He's comfortable in these deciding moments in a way Blockx hasn't really been tested yet.
This one could be close for a set, and Blockx has the groundstrokes to make it interesting early. That said, Darderi's ability to stay calm and grind through tight moments on clay should be the difference, and I think he gets through in three, all things considered.
